8.1 Access to Information Requests under PAIA:
We respect the principles of transparency and openness. In accordance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), individuals have the right to request access to certain information held by us.
If you wish to obtain information about our operations, processes, or your own data under PAIA, you may submit a written request to our Information Officer. Contact details for the Information Officer can be found throughout our Privacy Policy.
While PAIA grants the right of access, we want to assure conservation organizations that we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of their information. We will only disclose information in accordance with applicable laws and our Privacy Policy.
PAIA requests may be subject to limitations and exemptions outlined in the legislation. We will consider each request carefully and provide access to the extent allowed by law.
8.2 Third-Party Disclosures:
We understand the sensitivity of the information provided by conservation organizations. Our commitment is to never disclose such information to third parties, except where required by law or with explicit consent from the organization.
In the event that we are compelled by law to disclose information, we will take all reasonable steps to notify the affected conservation organization unless prohibited by law. In case of necessary disclosure, a request for information from a third party regarding a specific conservation may also be redirected to said conservation.
Any third parties with whom we share information will be subject to stringent data processing agreements, ensuring the same level of protection and confidentiality.
