GAAAP School Programme

“If we are to heal the planet, we must begin with the education of those who will inherit it.”

Rewilding Education. Restoring the Future!

A journey of deep learning, bold action, and inner transformation for youth in South Africa.

Let your learners rise - not just as students, but as active co-creators of a better world.

GAAAP offers schools access to immersive outings and volunteer-style eco-camps that connect learners with:

  • Wildlife conservation projects and predator sanctuaries
  • Guided ecological studies in bushveld habitats
  • Sustainable agriculture and farm management
  • Animal tracking and biodiversity monitoring
  • Anti-poaching awareness and fence patrols
  • Community development and food security initiatives

Whether you’re based in Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, or elsewhere, we’ll help tailor excursions based on your region’s conservation partners and your school’s focus.

These experiences build knowledge, resilience, confidence and purpose – while reconnecting students with the natural world.

An Invitation to Schools in South Africa

Whether you are a large urban school or a small rural learning hub, GAAAP welcomes you to join a national movement of learners acting with heart, mind and hands.

Our programme offers schools a menu of purposeful, immersive activities, crafted to integrate with your academic calendar while nurturing values that no textbook can teach.

What GAAAP Offers Schools
This Is More Than a Programme. It’s a Paradigm Shift.

For schools wanting to start small or stay local, we bring the learning to you.

You can choose from a range of activities such as:

  • Eco-leadership talks by conservation professionals
  • Assembly sessions on wildlife, sustainability, and water protection
  • Interactive workshops on food gardening, waste management, or community action
  • Awareness campaigns during Earth Month, Heritage Month, or Arbor Week

Talks and presentations can be held in English or Afrikaans, and are adapted to suit the age group and curriculum alignment.

Bring environmental awareness to life right on your school grounds with projects like:

  • Tree planting and carbon offsetting
  • School veggie garden installation
  • Recycling and upcycling challenges
  • Campus clean-up and waste audits
  • Green art installations and mural days
  • Themed eco-weeks or awareness festivals

These projects are perfect for eco-clubs, LO integration, or termly campaigns – and we’ll guide your team with planning and support materials.

Where possible, schools can visit nearby sanctuaries, reserves, or eco-projects to meet conservationists, see real-world solutions, and get inspired.

Some examples include:

  • Predator rehabilitation centres (e.g. cheetahs, wild dogs)
  • Bird of prey sanctuaries (e.g. vultures, owls)
  • Regenerative farms and food forests
  • Waterway restoration projects
  • Protected national parks or game reserves

We’ll help match your school with the most suitable and accessible options based on your location.

Raising awareness can be fun, impactful and student-led. Schools can choose to host:

  • Eco-themed quiz nights
  • Conscious mini markets or green carnivals
  • Sponsored hikes or cleanups
  • Raffles or art auctions with a conservation twist
  • Earth Day or Heritage Month festivals

All funds raised contribute directly to local conservation efforts and help your school continue participating in future GAAAP initiatives.
